EdwardCullen.Net: A fan needs our help!

OK, when I first read this, it pulled at my heartstrings immediately.  I knew I had no choice but to share this with you.  Once you read it, you will understand.

Edward-Cullen.net was contacted in seeking help for a patient who is a big fan of Robert Pattinson & the ‘Twilight‘ saga.  Everyone via Twitter is doing what we can via tweets & blog, so now you can do your part, too!  If you personally know anyone who has contact with Rob or any of these actors, this is pretty important.  This is one of the few times I’d ask you to help out like this.  I know they’re all super busy and have other things to do, but it’s always nice to be reminded of what you do for a living affects someone’s like, what you do makes a difference.

We’ve already discussed the big o’list of ‘Twilight’ Twitter-ers, but these are ones I could think off the top of my head!  I can only assume that these actors all have some kind of contact with Rob currently as they are filming ‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ right now:

Check out the awesome autograph she received!

Autographed 'New Moon' hardback by Robert Pattinson

I’ll have to admit, when I saw what he wrote her, I gasped LOL  Did anyone else have that kind’ve reaction?

From EdwardCullen.net:

The letter below says it all. It is a ‘thank you’ letter to Robert Pattinson from a very sick fan, and she also thanks Peter Facinelli. We received it in an e-mail from one of the workers at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital, and we were asked not to divulge too much information due to safety reasons. Plus I don’t think I could accurately shorten everything that was in the e-mail we received, plus keep the same emotion I had while reading it.

ECN realises that Rob has a fan mail address, and this letter could be sent that way. However, we don’t know how long it will even take for Rob to get this letter, if it was sent by mail. However, I’m thinking at least two or three months, maybe more. Once you read the letter below, you will see why we hope Rob or Peter sees this letter as quickly as possible.

There’s a one in a billion chance that Rob or Peter may even read this letter. It may be a long-shot, but at least ECN can say- “We tried.” It is our hope that Robert Pattinson or Peter Facinelli will read this letter. It’s very beautiful and touching.

Our plan is to tweet Peter Facinelli, in hopes that he will read the letter and perhaps pass it on to Rob. What we are asking of our Twitter followers and Twitter users in general is that you please help us retweet this! This is the Twitter message we plan to send:

Letter for @peterfacinelli & Rob- Childrens Hospital NYC PLS READ #thanksfromfan >> http://edward-cullen.net/thanksrob.php

Any help at all is greatly appreciated!!! Also, if you tweet, and let us know that you did, we will add the URL to your to the page with the letter.

Letter from Fan via Edward-Cullen.net:

Dear Rob,

I recently received the signed New Moon book that you autographed for me in NYC while you were filming Remember Me. The wonderful ladies at the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital Fund especially Ms Chris and one of her friends spent alot of their own personal time and effort in getting this for me after contacting Ms C from Remember Me. I will always be truly grateful to them for this gift.

I can’t thank you enough for taking the time out of your busy life and schedule to sign this for me. It means more to me than you will ever truly know.

I am not sure how much you were told of me, but my name is Ms. MS and I am nearly 24 years old. I have a very rare lung disorder that causes my lungs to collapse at times without any notice, and from the damage done to my lungs it has left me on oxygen nearly 24 hours a day. I can only take it off about 1 hour a day and a large percentage of my time is spent in a wheelchair as I can only walk short distances. They tell me my only other option is a lung transplant, scary right? This is a decision that I will have to make at some point but they tell me it will only give me an extra 5 – 7 years and well I just dont know. Anyway these are the breaks that life sometimes gives you.

You see, I was lucky enough to win the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital raffle. They have looked after me since I was 16 years old which is when I first got sick. Anyway, one of the prizes I won was based around ‘your favorite film and movie stars.’

My wish was to try and either meet some of the Twilight stars especially you or go to one of your movie premieres.

Ms Chris from Morgan Stanley was trying to organize for me to come and meet you on the set of Remember Me in NYC this summer. I live in VB, but due to the timing, having to get everything worked out and the time to get clearance from your producers it was not meant to be.

I still am most grateful for the signed book from you. I will forever cherish your kind words as it gave some hope and that maybe one day things will work out for me, too.

I also wanted to tell you that Peter Facinelli (Dr. Carlisle from the Twilight series ) was at my local mall here in VB a few weeks ago as part of a Red Cross Blood Drive.  How lucky was that right?

I got all dressed up made an effort and got my best friend to take me down to the mall wheelchair/oxygen and all . I waited for a few hours in order to see him and what a nice person he is even though he had been signing autographs for hours.

I had the pleasure of meeting him, taking a photo with him, and getting his autograph. I took my oxygen off and walked up to take the photo and I was shaking from my nerves I am sure he wondered what was wrong with me? :).

I wanted to give him this letter and ask him to give it to you but I felt a little embarrassed and he was very busy. There were hundreds and hundreds of people lined up waiting to meet him.

I love how you both are so dedicated to your work and your fans. I have attached a picture of the book you signed for me in the summer and also the picture of Peter so you know that this letter is really the truth.

I would appreciate if you could acknowledge that you received this if by chance it actually gets to you.

You seem like such a nice person and I wish you all the best in life.

Again, I can’t say thank you enough.

With Love,
Ms. MS

* If you wish to contact Ms. MS, you can contact ECN.  They will pass on the message for you, or they will put you in contact with someone who does have contact with her. You can e-mail them @ admin@edward-cullen.net or by using their contact form by clicking here.

* * Morgan Stanley asked that ECN not reveal Ms. MS’s real name & address due to safety reasons and just in case people she knows might come on any Twilight blogs.  So, they didn’t use her real name and have slightly blurred parts of the photos they sent them for her privacy.

So, you have read it now! Aren’t you moved?! You know you are! Do your part and spread the word!!!!

Make sure to follow @EdwardCullenNet on Twitter, too!

Gossip Cop’s ‘Twilight’ Highlights

Here’s a week-in-review from Gossip Cop!

‘Twilight’ Highlights:

Robert Pattinson - New Moon - Photo Property of LA TimesThe week began with a ludicrous story by the Aussie mag NW, which claimed that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart gave an unnamed U.S. magazine a joint interview about their “steamy relationship.” Among the topics covered: the “shock love triangle” that nearly tore them apart, their “intense sexual chemistry,” and the truth about their marriage plans.  None of it is true other than the fact that they have sat down for interviews to coincide with the release of “Eclipse.” Then we cleared up a little confusion about a showing of “New Moon” in Knoxville, TN on November 17 – three days before the highly anticipated movie opens nationwide. It’s a special, charity screening and just Stewart and Taylor Lautner are slated to attend – no Pattinson.

Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan - New Moon - Photo Property of LA TimesOK!, for the third week in a row, had a ridiculous “Twilight” tall tale. This week’s cover featured a photo of Pattinson and Stewart with the headline, “Wedding of the Year,” and promised inside to have the “the scoop on the big-screen ceremony, plus what to expect when Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson really tie the knot.” Besides the fact that they are not engaged in real-life, as OK! had previously claimed, the article went on and on describing what the “Twilight Saga” wedding looks like. But the wedding takes place in “Breaking Dawn,” not “Eclipse,” the installment they are currently shooting. So how is it possible that they have the “scoop on the big-screen ceremony?” Wrong again.

New Moon Movie Poster - Photo Property of Summit Entertainment via Gossip CopFortunately all these false reports haven’t affected ticket sales. In fact, today is EXACTLY TWO MONTHS before the release of “New Moon,” and not only are online sales brisk, but the L.A. Times reported that the film “is selling out screenings earlier than any other movie to date.”

Peter Facinelli & Robert Pattinson - Photo Property of MTV.comAnd then the tweet heard ’round the world. Tweeting on Peter Facinelli’s account, Robert Pattinson typed, “Hi, it’s Rob … My first and last tweet. My dad made me do it.” Shortly after that, Facinelli, through his rep, told Gossip Cop EXCLUSIVELY that Rob “relishes his privacy, but we’re hanging out and he wanted to say hi to the fans.”

Article: MTV.com: MTV’s Top 10 Twilight Moments

Gotta love me Twilight Top 10, so here it goes!

From MTV.com

Top 10 ‘Twilight’ MTV Moments, From Spunk Ransom to 100 Monkeys

We helped name the fanbase, toured Catherine Hardwicke’s pad and much more, all for the Twilighters!

It’s no secret that MTV was all over the “Twilight” phenomenon back when other news outlets were still figuring out how to spell Stephenie Meyer’s name. Now, the world has been let in on our little secret — but with today’s news that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will be attending the Video Music Awards to unveil a never-before-seen trailer for “New Moon,” the mix of pop-culture powerhouses continues to be as tasty as peanut butter and chocolate, coffee and cream or Bella and Edward.

Sure, the “Twilight” stars have made a habit of attending all our MTV awards shows as they became household names and even dominated the MTV Movie Awards a few months back. But in our minds, the most special moments were the times when they came to us to make news, break news and sometimes even make us the news.

Below are our Top 10 “Twilight” MTV moments. Which is your favorite?

Spunk Ransom Is Born:

Robert Pattinson = Spunk RansomIn one of his first interviews for the “Twilight” franchise, MTV News had nearly an hour alone with the soon-to-be A-lister on the set of the film. Among the many questions we brought him was: “What do you think of your nickname ‘RPattz’?” He responded in his usual charming, rambling manner, insisting that he wanted a new nickname: “Spunk Ransom.” The term has stuck, been officially defined, yielded some very cool “Twilight” merch and is reportedly the easiest way to get a smile out of Rob — er, Spunk — if you should ever meet him.

Don’t Count Out Taylor:

Taylor Lautner - Photo Courtesy of MTV.comBarely a month after “Twilight” opened at the top of the box office, young Taylor Lautner had become the J.D. Salinger of the series — disappearing from the spotlight and leaving many to wonder whether we’d see him again. Just when the consensus among fans seemed to be that his role would be recast with a more physically impressive actor like Michael Copon, we found Taylor at a tiny red-carpet event. Noticeably larger, he revealed that he’d been working out around-the-clock, was about to meet with “New Moon” director Chris Weitz and vowed to return as Jacob. Finally, “Twilight” Nation could breath a sigh of relief.

Kristen’s Near-Death Experience:Kristen Stewart

We all know that Kristen Stewart is a great dramatic actress, but when she said that filming the next film “killed me,” that took it to a whole new level. As KStew’s quotes rocketed around the Web, Twilighters became even more eager to see her “New Moon” performance.

Peter Facinelli. A one-of-a-kind Twitter bet. A grown man in a bikini dancing down Hollywood Boulevard. Need we say more?

Catherine’s Pimp Pad:

Catherine Hardwicke - Photo Courtesy of MTV.comWho else but MTV could get exclusive access to Catherine Hardwicke’s house/office, the place where the “Twilight” movie phenomenon began? The affable director generously opened her home and gave us a tour of the backyard where Lautner auditioned, the dining room where KStew read her lines — and the bed where she and RPattz first kissed.

The RPattz SurpriseRobert Pattinson & MTV guest blogger, Laura C:
In May 2008, we held a contest and landed “Twilight” fan Laura Culpepper as our guest correspondent. But what she didn’t know is that we had arranged for Rob himself to tiptoe in behind Laura while she recorded an on-camera segment and give her a sneak peek at “Twilight.” Without a doubt, this is one of the most memorable pieces of video in all the “Twilight” fandom, revealing Rob’s fun side.

 Name Those Fans:
Rob, Cam, Taylor, & Kristen - Photo Courtesy of MTV.com
Once upon a time, an epic battle raged between Twilighters and Twi-Hards over which was the proper name for the fanbase. Since we’re peacemakers as well as journalists, we held an epic poll to settle the matter once and for all. Rob, Kristen and the other stars of the series announced the results — and it’s been Twilighters ever since.

A Special Spoilers EveningTwilight Cast - Photo Courtesy of MTV.com:
To celebrate the conclusion of all those very special Twilight Tuesdays, MTV gave a few hundred Twilighters the chance to attend a taping of our movie special “Spoilers.” All the stars were there, it was a night to remember, and the show continues on as the renamed “Behind the Screen,” which airs Friday and focuses on films such as “Jennifer’s Body.”

RPattz Needs Undies:

Last November, we reunited Rob and Laura for a revealing interview that may have been, well, a bit too revealing. Ever wonder about Rob’s toenails, his parking-ticket troubles or his underwear? Well, then, you need to watch this.

100 Monkeys Hit MTV
Jackson Rathbone - 100 Monkeys - Photo Courtesy of MTV.com & MySpace.com/100MonkeysMusic
As his fans know, the only thing more fun than watching Jackson Rathbone act may be seeing him in concert. Which is why we were eager to go backstage and onstage to watch his band 100 Monkeys perform at a club in Hollywood. Since then, we’ve caught the band again at TwiCon and spoke to him recently about the Monkeys’ plans to score his new movie. Rock on, Jackson!

About the Actor:  New York City-born Peter Facinelli appeared in several productions at the NYU-affiliated Atlantic Theater Company before making his feature film debut as the devil in Rebecca Miller’s “Angela” (1995). The handsome young actor caught the attention of critics and audiences as Bret, a teenage hustler surviving on the mean streets of Hollywood, in the TV-movie “The Price of Love” (Fox, 1995). Facinelli then played Tim Matheson’s son and the target of his father’s jealous ex-lover (Jennie Garth) in “An Unfinished Affair” (ABC, 1996). Other TV roles followed, including the pivotal part of the teen who committed suicide in “After Jimmy” (CBS, 1996) and a college dropout pursuing his dream of a life as a fisherman against his family’s wishes in “Calm at Sunset”, a 1996 CBS presentation of “Hallmark Hall of Fame”. Facinelli co-starred with Amanda Peet and Michael Vartan in the AIDS-themed drama “Touch Me” (1997) before co-starring as a high school student in two 1998 features, “Dancer, Texas Pop. 81”, with Ethan Embry and Breckin Meyer, and “Can’t Hardly Wait”, about a graduation night bash that co-starred Embry and Meyer, as well as Melissa Joan Hart, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jerry O’Connell.

While he and his wife Jennie Garth welcomed their first child (Luca Bella) in 1997, Facinelli also found his career settling into a comfortable groove. He had a feature role in the Jennifer Love Hewitt teen hit “Can’t Hardly Wait” in 1999, and appeared in the sci-fi film “Supernova” starring Kevin Spacey in 2000. Solid roles in “Riding in Cars With Boys” in 2001 and “Scorpion King” in 2002 were soon followed by a leading role in the hit Fox drama “Fastlane”, and a second daughter (Lola Ray) for the Facinelli-Garth household.

After his recurring role in HBO’s critically acclaimed series “Six Feet Under” in 2004, Facinelli tacked a few more films on to his resume, and then starred in A&E’s made for TV movie, Touch the Top of the World. The true life story of Erik Weihenmayer, the first blind man ever to reach the top of Mount Everest. Since then, Peter has added a third daughter (Fiona Eve) to his expanding family, and tackled the role of Gregory Malina in FX’s hit TV series, “Damages”. After wrapping up “Finding Amanda” with Matthew Broderick, Facinelli joined the cast of the highly anticipated feature film “Twilight” as Dr. Carlisle Cullen, the patriarch of the mysterious ‘vampire’ family, living in the small town of Forks, WA. The film is adapted from Stephenie Meyer’s New York Times best seller. With another television series for Showtime called “Nurse Jackie”, and two “Twilight” sequels in the works, and no sign of slowing down, fans can rest assured that Facinelli will continue to provide the outstanding character portrayals that he is known for, for a long time to come.

Article: AccessHollywood.com: Summit Partners with Creation Entertainment for Official Twilight Fan Convention

From AccessHollywood.com:

The Cast of Twilight

The Cast of Twilight

LOS ANGELES, Calif. —

Summit Entertainment has banded together with Creation Entertainment to produce official “Twilight” fan conventions for the next three years.

The official conventions will feature appearances from a host of “Twilight” stars. They will also feature exclusive footage, panel discussions, “Twilight” parties, musical performances and more, organizers confirmed to Access Hollywood.

“It is a delight to be involved with the tremendous excitement that surrounds ‘The Twilight Saga,’” Erin Ferries, VP of Creation Entertainment, said in a statement to Access. “The fans are incredibly knowledgeable about the property and have used the story as a springboard for their own creativity.”

Ferries said the conventions will seek some serious participation from the attendees

“The Official ‘Twilight’ Fan Conventions will allow attendees the chance to show off their ‘Twilight’ inspired artwork, writing, costumes, filmmaking and music with thousands of their fellow fans,” her statement continued. “While the conventions will offer fans the chance to cheer for their favorite actors they are equally about gathering with like-minded folks and forming friendships based on a common devotion.”

The group will plan conventions across the U.S., in Canada and in the U.K.

For more information, interested parties can log on to www.twilightconvention.com.
