Total Film: Sarah Gadon talks about Robert Pattinson, ‘Cosmopolis’

A dancer-turned-TV-regular-turned-film-actress, Sarah Gadon weighs in this month as Carl Jung’s oft-pregnant wife Emma in David Cronenberg’s A Dangerous Method.  She’s segueing from Mrs. Jung to Mrs. Pattinson in Cronenberg’s next, Cosmopolis— and keeping it in the family with a role in the director’s son Brandon’s sci-fi/horror debut, Antiviral

. . .

Did you encounter any Twi-hard madness on Cosmopolis?

Not initially.  But then the fans began to find out where Robert was, so it became a bit of a circus.  But one of the benefits of Rob’s fame is that it brings attention to people like David and films like Cosmopolis.  The tabloid stuff I don’t really about.

Article: Tom Sturridge Doesn’t Talk About Robert Pattinson (… or does he? No?!)

Article: Ashley Greene Mentions Rob Pattinson in Interview with Allure Magazine

Here’s an interview with Allure Magazine & Ashley Greene where she talks about her ‘second family‘ & her ‘awkward brother‘ Rob! LOL

* * *

The actress initially tried out for the role of Bella before being called back to audition for Alice, a character she related to immediately upon reading the books. ”Everyone asks, ‘Weren’t you jealous?’ No, I think that the casting was so spot-on, especially between Rob and Kristen,” Greene says. “Dude, I just got lucky in all fronts, because not only am I in Twilight, but the character’s just so damn lovable.”

Greene talks about the Twilight cast as if they were a second family, and about Pattinson as if he were an awkward brother. ” Rob. Oh, Rob. He’s very endearing, but you’ve seen his interviews. He’s like, ‘Ah, I don’t know… Oh, God,” Greene bumbles in imitation. Despite poking a little fun at him, she credits Pattinson (she calls him a ”phenomenal actor”) and the rest of the actors for helping her cope with sudden fame. ”All of us essentially were unknown. So everyone kind of went through this crazy whirlwind [together],’” Greene says. “It was really nice to be able to confide in people who were going through the exact same thing.” The vampires also bonded over a mutual dislike for the makeup and the yellow contacts, which cut off their peripheral vision.

Jay Baruchel Talks to Fangoria About Filming Cosmopolis with David Cronenberg, Robert Pattinson

This guy is so cool, I’m so glad he’s in this movie.  I can’t wait to see this movie!!  It’s going to be GREAT!

FANG:  You and your GOOD NEIGHBORS co-star Emily Hampshire appear in David Cronenberg’s latest, COSMOPOLIS. Can you talk about that and working for Cronenberg?

BARUCHEL:  Again, this is a movie that I agreed to do without knowing what I’d be doing in it. I was sort of just keeping my fiancée [Allison Pill] company in Manhattan while she was doing her play. My greatest ambition was to just write horror. And that’s been picking up after my work on [co-writing] GOON. My writing partner [Jesse Chabot] and I got hired on a couple of things, and so on-camera acting was the furthest thing from my mind this year. And then they said, “You want to go to Toronto and do two days on the new David Cronenberg?” I said, “I’ll pick up that man’s f**king dry cleaning.” I’ll do anything to meet him. He’s one of my original heroes. For a Canadian who wants to make horror movies for the rest of his life, there’s no greater hero or no more important figure than David Cronenberg. It was a very, very easy “yes” for me. And showing up there, once I got past the initial butterflies in my stomach and the jitters of not only getting to meet one of my heroes, but getting to work with him, that took some getting through because I was flabbergasted. Here I am, getting to watch him do his thing, in his environment. But once I was past that, it was the easiest job I’ve ever had. It was simple and fun and exciting and I could retire tomorrow because I’m in one of his flicks now.

FANG:  Who do you play in COSMOPOLIS?

BARUCHEL:The thing is incredibly dense and ethereal and mostly it’s just dialogue heavy. It takes place in the early 2000s during a version of the dotcom boom. It follows Robert Pattinson’s character, who’s the CEO of one of these tech companies, and he’s on his way to work and he’s trying to get a haircut and that’s the movie. And 90 percent of it takes place in his limo en route to get a haircut. He has all these different meetings with people he works alongside, and they come in to the limo, he has a long, sort of philosophical conversation with them and they get out, they exchange seats, and I’m the first guy he picks up. I’m the guy who started the company with him, and I’m a young, rich, upwardly mobile tech head. We have a four-page long existential scene about the nature of 20th-century living and then I disappear. It was the most satisfying, interesting, exciting and every adjective in the book. It really, really nourished me. I know I’m a better actor, a better writer and a better person for it.

I like how he answers a question, but he doesn’t really answer the question.  He gives so much more interesting info instead! 😛 LOL He’s awesome..

Kellan Lutz Talks About Learning to Play Guitar by Rob Pattinson & Jokes About Their Future Clothing Line?

LA Times talks with Twilight Saga costar Kellan Lutz talks his new clothing lines and about learning how to play the guitar with Robert Pattinson & Jackson Rathbone:

Robert Pattinson isn’t shy about helping out his vampire clan: “The Twilight Saga” actor has been giving musical pointers to costar Kellan Lutz.

Lutz, the brawny Emmett in the vampire franchise, has been playing an instrument that Pattinson knows a thing or two about.

“I picked up the guitar now that I have some down time,” Lutz told the Ministry at an in-store appearance Thursday at the Grove, where he unveiled new pieces from his Dylan George and Abbot + Main clothing lines.

“I got a couple of books and some iPad apps, but I get to work with Rob and Jackson [Rathbone] on all these movies, who are brilliant musicians,” he said. “I get to learn from talented people.”

Pattinson has been strumming and crooning for quite some time, even contributing some music to the first “Twilight” film. Rathbone is in the band 100 Monkeys.

Still, don’t hold your breath for “Twilight: The Musical.”

“I can’t sing for crap,” Lutz said, “but I enjoy picking up hobbies.”

E! Online also had an.. interesting story on the possibilities of Rob & Kellan working together on a clothing line.  No, seriously.. well… maybe:

We chatted with the actor-turned-fashionisto at last night’s WWE SummerSlam Party and eventually talk turned to his new line, The Abbot + Main. So can we expect to see his costar Robby rockin’ the designer duds?

“Rob and I were talking about doing a clothing line together!” Kellan surprised reporters by revealing.

Come again, Lutzy? It’s hard for us to imagine R.Pattz spending his type putting together his fall line.

“He didn’t know I was doing mine,” Kellan explained before reenacting this convo (complete with a fake R.Pattz’s accent, of course): “He’s like ‘I should do one’ and I’m like ‘Oh’. And he found out I was doing one and he’s like ‘Really?’ It was really funny. He wants to do one too.”

But while former model Kellan went all Venice Beach chic for his collection, what would Rob’s be like?

Kellan jokes, “What’d we call it, we called it ‘Rags by Rob’ or something, because he’s always so like, I don’t know…hipster.”

GQ Magazine Reminisces Over Robert Pattinson’s Hair

Oh, GQ!

Here’s a very special tribute to Mr. Robert Pattinson’s hair…

Oh, every fan must morn the hair loss of Robert Pattinson!

I’ll never forget when it came into my life. It was one of those glass-half-empty days when you have a pounding headache and the spins and you’re beginning to believe that myth about your body slowly coasting downward after 21 may be true. I was eating cold pizza. My DVR was broken, and, so, I was also not fast-forwarding through the commercials when it started—a Volvo ad. What kind of Volvo? I couldn’t tell you. You see, it wasn’t the pretty car my eyes were fixed on. It was Robert Pattinson—specifically his hair region.

Scan: Entertainment Weekly Briefly Mentions Robert Pattinson in Article for Men of ‘Hunger Games’

Hungry Men LOL

In Entertainment Weekly‘s August 5th publication, they have an article about the men of the upcoming book-to-film adaptation of The Hunger Games.  Right off the bat, Rob receives an honorable mention on the amazing, overnight craze of certain franchises.

“Its an interesting thing to witness how a spotlight sits on a young actor. Weeks before Twilight stormed its way into theaters, for instance, a still largely unknown Robert Pattinson winced and demurred his way through a few questions on a crowded patio of a chic Los Angeles hotel. His posture was practically O-shaped as he spoke into the neckline of his shirt before wondering, rather endearingly, if we might go somewhere less populated. Today, at the bustling Early Girl restaurant in Asheville, NC an entirely different young man from an entirely different franchise, Josh Hutcherson, 18, sits beaming and gregarious over a rapidly vanishing plate of eggs and bacon. Hutcherson plays the beloved Peeta in the movie adaptation of Suzanna Collins’ gripping trilogy, ‘The Hunger Games.”

Kellan Lutz Impressed by Rob’s ‘Breaking Dawn’ Workout Regimen

From Hollywood Crush:

Click here to watch the video!

Robert Pattinson is known for many things: his perfectly unkempt coif, his smoldering stare and his ability to make every girl swoon. Yet, one thing RPattz hasn’t been particularly well-known for is his muscular physique…until recently.

In the “Breaking Dawn” trailer we see Edward Cullen take his new bride Bella on their honeymoon retreat, and it’s there that we get a short glimpse of his bulging back when he BREAKS THE HEADBOARD in a fit of passion.

After seeing the scene, however, some wondered if Rob actually used a body double. Well, we caught up with his “Twilight” co-star Kellan Lutz, who blessedly assured us that it was all Rob.

“Someone asked if that was me. Is that Kellan’s back?” the 26-year-old actor said, laughing at the idea. “I’m really proud of Rob for working out and really training really hard. He cycled so hard and trained very hard, and he’s really diligent. He talked to me about what proteins to drink and what to do and he listened and cared. He had a great mentality for it.”

Now all I can think of is Rob… Sweatin’ To The Oldies… to Olivia Newton John’s Let’s Get Physical!  LOL  Yeah, totally just dated myself with those two references LOL

Interview: Juliette Binoche Talks About Rob Pattinson, Cosmopolis

Robert Pattinson’s Cosmopolis co-star, Juliette Binoche talks to French newspaper La Provence.

Juliette Binoche

For David Cronenberg’s new movie ?
J.B:  “Yes, it is called “Cosmopolis”. I play an art dealer who has an affair with Robert Pattinson.  He plays a billionaire who loses everything.”

Robert Pattinson evolves in a sphere that seems far away from yours…
J.B:  “I don’t have a point of view about his career, I didn’t see the “Twilight” movies.  We had dinner together on set.  He is an incredible cinema buff who for several years saw two to three movies a day. He is a fan of “Les amants du Pont Neuf” (The Pont Neuf lovers). He was funny, you would have thought he was a little child.”
