Commentary: ‘Hairs How’ to get Robert Pattinson’s Look

Here’s Proof:  Some people just don’t get it…

So, over the weekend, I was doing some shopping at my local drug store when I ran over to walked over to the magazine section and saw this magazine:

Here’s the featured article and keep an open mind, this lady hasn’t been dazzled by The Rob…. yet:

(Note: Please credit this blog if you use this transcription as I re-typed it word-for-word for your reading pleasure)

I read all the Twilight books and I will be the first to admit that I fell in love with Edward.  Robert Pattinson on the other hand, not so much.

He does have a great smile and a nice strong jaw line but he really need to focus on grooming.  He looks better when he is a bit scruffy as it takes away from his “baby face” but his eyebrows need some major help.  He has really nice hair with a great texture but he needs to ease up on the hair product, he manages to make it look too greasy with over use.  Nothing a good haircut and a little curl cream couldn’t fix.  Longer, loose hair is really nice on men right now, especially with some natural texture.  I think he would look great with a bit more length, adding only a light layer to maintain a bit of weight so the top but eliminate any strong corners.  Air drying with a little bit of light weight gel would give a nice hold, but don’t forget to break up the curl once is dry to make it look soft.  Think Jim Morrison, the 70s influence is nice for longer men’s hair right now.

He is very eclectic in his wardrobes, but he’s best when he’s wearing a comfortable, lived-in style.  Otherwise, he often looks like he’s trying too hard.  While we all love Edward, he’s just a character in a book and a movie.  A fashionable man should keep it simple and causal, having a few nice pieces in his wardrobe to keep him looking polished.  A good pair of jeans (not too tight, not too loose) and a great distressed jacket and a plain T-shirt is the best.

All in all, he is a good-looking guy with great potential, he just needs to remember that sometimes less is more.

O….kay….

I’m sure this lady meant really well and was trying really hard to figure out a way to tie in her career and a current, hot topic (See:  Robert Pattinson).  And, all that considered, it was obviously somewhat interesting enough, it caught my eye and I’m sharing it with you now.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that the whole point of her article was to prove how day and night Robert Pattinson and Edward Cullen truly are in comparison.

This just in, dear readers:  They’re not the same people.

*gasps*  WHAT?!

I totally get that not everyone is a fan of Rob’s and that’s all fine and dandy, more for us.  And I actually agree with her on one thing, the man needs to do something about the eyebrows.  But, that being said there are some people out there who actually like his looks, his style and his wardrobe— they like him for who he is, completely and 100%.  He’s not about fashion (can you tell?), he’s about being himself and being comfortable.  That’s his thing.  And when he is dressed-up in designer duds, it’s because his people are making wear it, not because that’s how rolls.

So, if that’s how he wants to look, then so be it.  I would never try to change anything about the man, he’s just gorgeous either ways:  holes or not in his clothes or the designer threads.   Edward Cullen or not.  Who’s with me on this one?

And in light of my humor, I’m dedicating this old school Billy Joel song to Rob LOL:

The moral of this story is:  not everyone’s a fan and not everyone gets the memo regarding the fascination of Rob.

Well, I get it loud and clear!  How about you? LOL
