Step right up & join the “Water for Elephants” book club over @!

I am so excited to talk to you guys about this new book club!

At the beginning of this month, our friend and affiliate, Amber asked everyone over @ if they would be interested in following in yet another book club, this time with Water for Elephants.  Of course, the answer was “yes!”

And why are we reading this???

Umm… have you been living under a rock?!  LOL, okay, sorry that wasn’t very nice of me– but, hey, I’m just asking!  Anyways, this incredible book is about a month away from being made into a movie and starring who?  That’s right!  Robert Pattinson.

I’m presently reading this story and I like it from what I’ve been able to read so far, I just wish I had more time to read it!  My biggest complaint was not knowing about this story before the whole book-to-movie scenario came about because now all I can think about is Rob as Jacob Jankowski [not that it’s a bad thing! LOL]!  And how about the irony of Rob playing a character named Jacob, too?

WARNING!  Spoilers included!

Check out this review from Amazon:

Jacob Jankowski says: “I am ninety. Or ninety-three. One or the other.” At the beginning of Water for Elephants, he is living out his days in a nursing home, hating every second of it. His life wasn’t always like this, however, because Jacob ran away and joined the circus when he was twenty-one. It wasn’t a romantic, carefree decision, to be sure. His parents were killed in an auto accident one week before he was to sit for his veterinary medicine exams at Cornell. He buried his parents, learned that they left him nothing because they had mortgaged everything to pay his tuition, returned to school, went to the exams, and didn’t write a single word. He walked out without completing the test and wound up on a circus train. The circus he joins, in Depression-era America, is second-rate at best. With Ringling Brothers as the standard, Benzini Brothers is far down the scale and pale by comparison.
