Robert Pattinson rumored to film in New Zealand

Robert Pattinson - Photo Property of the Associated PressTwilight star Robert Pattinson will be heading to New Zealand early next year to film his next movie, Unbound Captives, according to several reports.

Unbound Captives, which also stars Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz, is tentatively scheduled to begin shooting in early 2010 and is slated to be released at the end of the year.

According to Radaronline, parts of the movie will be shot in New Zealand.

The $125 million western is reportedly set in 1859, and follows the story of a woman who attempts to rescue her children after they are kidnapped by a Comanche war party.

Pattinson, who plays one of her children, said the role was as far from his character in Twilight as possible.

“I’m playing a kid who’s kidnapped by the Comanches when he was four years old and he’s brought up by them. Then his mother spends her entire life trying to find me and my sister,” he said at a New Moon press conference in Los Angeles last week.

“When she finds us we can’t remember who she is and can’t remember anything about the western culture that she grew up in … So you can’t really get more different from Edward.”

Pattinson, 23, is currently promoting New Moon – the second film in the Twilight saga, released here (New Zealand) on November 19th.

He is also said to be starring in Bel Ami next year as an-up-and-coming journalist who sleeps his way to the top.
