Kellan Lutz Talks About Learning to Play Guitar by Rob Pattinson & Jokes About Their Future Clothing Line?
LA Times talks with Twilight Saga costar Kellan Lutz talks his new clothing lines and about learning how to play the guitar with Robert Pattinson & Jackson Rathbone:
Lutz, the brawny Emmett in the vampire franchise, has been playing an instrument that Pattinson knows a thing or two about.
“I picked up the guitar now that I have some down time,” Lutz told the Ministry at an in-store appearance Thursday at the Grove, where he unveiled new pieces from his Dylan George and Abbot + Main clothing lines.
“I got a couple of books and some iPad apps, but I get to work with Rob and Jackson [Rathbone] on all these movies, who are brilliant musicians,” he said. “I get to learn from talented people.”
Pattinson has been strumming and crooning for quite some time, even contributing some music to the first “Twilight” film. Rathbone is in the band 100 Monkeys.
Still, don’t hold your breath for “Twilight: The Musical.”
“I can’t sing for crap,” Lutz said, “but I enjoy picking up hobbies.”

E! Online also had an.. interesting story on the possibilities of Rob & Kellan working together on a clothing line. No, seriously.. well… maybe:
We chatted with the actor-turned-fashionisto at last night’s WWE SummerSlam Party and eventually talk turned to his new line, The Abbot + Main. So can we expect to see his costar Robby rockin’ the designer duds?
“Rob and I were talking about doing a clothing line together!” Kellan surprised reporters by revealing.
Come again, Lutzy? It’s hard for us to imagine R.Pattz spending his type putting together his fall line.
“He didn’t know I was doing mine,” Kellan explained before reenacting this convo (complete with a fake R.Pattz’s accent, of course): “He’s like ‘I should do one’ and I’m like ‘Oh’. And he found out I was doing one and he’s like ‘Really?’ It was really funny. He wants to do one too.”
But while former model Kellan went all Venice Beach chic for his collection, what would Rob’s be like?
Kellan jokes, “What’d we call it, we called it ‘Rags by Rob’ or something, because he’s always so like, I don’t know…hipster.”
Here’s a very special tribute to Mr. Robert Pattinson’s hair…
Oh, every fan must morn the hair loss of Robert Pattinson!
I’ll never forget when it came into my life. It was one of those glass-half-empty days when you have a pounding headache and the spins and you’re beginning to believe that myth about your body slowly coasting downward after 21 may be true. I was eating cold pizza. My DVR was broken, and, so, I was also not fast-forwarding through the commercials when it started—a Volvo ad. What kind of Volvo? I couldn’t tell you. You see, it wasn’t the pretty car my eyes were fixed on. It was Robert Pattinson—specifically his hair region.

Robert Pattinson – $20 million
The Twilight star branched out recently with Water for Elephants, which costarred Reese Witherspoon. The film did OK but its box office was a drop in the bucket compared to the Twilight films. With two movies left, expect Pattinson to keep earning big for the next two years.
Rob earned $20 million and is numero #11 in a 4-way tie with Jim Carrey, Daniel Craig and Brad Pitt. If you ask me, that’s not a bad bunch to be grouped with!! Right?!
It’s a nice day for a wet wedding…
The fourth Twilight Saga film has been a long time coming for fans – it’ll have been 16 months since Eclipse hit the cinemas by the time Breaking Dawn: Part 1 finally arrives. But form what we’ve glimsed so far, it’s going to have been worth the wait!
Engaged during Eclipse, Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) are quick to wed – but as idyllic as the ceremony seems on-screen, it was something of an endurance test for the actors involved… “It rained the whole time we shot the wedding scenes” recalls Peter Facinelli, who plays Edward’s adoptive father, Carlisle Cullen. “They blocked it out by putting tarps up, so you’ll never see it, but it was very wet and muddy and cold.”
“It was rough,” agrees Kellan Lutz, who plays Edward’s adoptive brother, Emmett. “I felt bad for the women on the film – they were wearing these beautiful, skin-tight dresses and didn’t have heaters by them. And a lot of us were playing vampires so we had to not shiver, because vampires don’t get cold!”
Fortunately, Stewart recalls the wedding scenes a little more fondly. “When I walked on set, and saw the entire cast sitting in the pews, it was emotional in such a real way – I just literally felt like thanking them all for coming!”
DID YOU KNOW? The Vancouver Island set was evacuated due to tsunami fears, after the Japanese earthquake struck on 11 March, but thankfully everyone was OK.
Breaking Dawn: Part 1 (certificate TBC) Released 18 November
Hungry Men LOL
In Entertainment Weekly‘s August 5th publication, they have an article about the men of the upcoming book-to-film adaptation of The Hunger Games. Right off the bat, Rob receives an honorable mention on the amazing, overnight craze of certain franchises.
“Its an interesting thing to witness how a spotlight sits on a young actor. Weeks before Twilight stormed its way into theaters, for instance, a still largely unknown Robert Pattinson winced and demurred his way through a few questions on a crowded patio of a chic Los Angeles hotel. His posture was practically O-shaped as he spoke into the neckline of his shirt before wondering, rather endearingly, if we might go somewhere less populated. Today, at the bustling Early Girl restaurant in Asheville, NC an entirely different young man from an entirely different franchise, Josh Hutcherson, 18, sits beaming and gregarious over a rapidly vanishing plate of eggs and bacon. Hutcherson plays the beloved Peeta in the movie adaptation of Suzanna Collins’ gripping trilogy, ‘The Hunger Games.”
Robert Pattinson’s Cosmopolis co-star, Juliette Binoche talks to French newspaper La Provence.
For David Cronenberg’s new movie ?
J.B: “Yes, it is called “Cosmopolis”. I play an art dealer who has an affair with Robert Pattinson. He plays a billionaire who loses everything.”
Robert Pattinson evolves in a sphere that seems far away from yours…
J.B: “I don’t have a point of view about his career, I didn’t see the “Twilight” movies. We had dinner together on set. He is an incredible cinema buff who for several years saw two to three movies a day. He is a fan of “Les amants du Pont Neuf” (The Pont Neuf lovers). He was funny, you would have thought he was a little child.”
Thanks to TwilightPoison!
Okay, so yeah… this entire blog entry is made with a lot of ‘aww,’ I couldn’t help but share it with everybody!
Come November, we will finally be able to see Guri Weinberg bring the character of Romanian vampire Stefan to life on-screen with the fourth installment of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part I.
And to think that I was just blogging the other day about Guri tweeting about Rob and wondering if he had any other morsels of info and wah-lah, here we go:
With the awesome advice of his wife (Guri, she is a smart woman!), he has decided to take his storytelling to blog format and share with us his adventures, if you will.
The most recent post is dedicated to Mackenzie Foy who will be playing the role of Renesmee (Side-note: I’m always afraid I’m going to misspell that child’s name. Someone please spell check that! LOL) in BD, as well. While sharing his thoughts on Mackenzie, he happens to mention a couple of names you might (haha!) recall– one in particular being Rob!
I met Mackenzie Foy in October 2010 when some of the new cast in the Twilight Saga – Breaking Dawn flew into Baton Rouge for some make-up/wardrobe screen tests and to discuss our roles with director, Bill Condon. While we were there, we got an invitation from the producers for a dinner party. Imagine our surprise when we show up and see Rob, Kristen, Stephenie, Ashley, Kellan, Nikki, Jackson…
. . .
Watching her with Kristen and Rob was nothing short of beautiful. She fit right in. She deserves all the success heading her way and I feel honored to have worked with her.

Awww… see? It’s an auto-pilot now!
I’m looking forward to reading more of your ‘stories,’ Guri! Thanks for sharing!
Yeah, I know this pic is an oldie, but it is definitely a goodie! I couldn’t resist using this picture again. Every time I see it, I can’t help but smile, so why the heck not, right?!
Do your daughters think you’re so cool because you work with Robert Pattinson?
My daughters don’t usually get impressed by people I’ve worked with because they’re just Dad’s friends. I think they’re just enamored I’m part of the whole franchise. Rob is just one of Dad’s friends.
Are you amazed at what he and Kristen Stewart have to put up with?
I’m very proud of how they’ve handled it. It’s been fun for me to watch them rise to fame the way they have and the way they’ve handled it. When your life is put under a microscope like that it’s very difficult to function and I give them great credit for functioning and living a normal life within the realm of their fame.
